what it is:

Magnolia Movers is a displacement and eviction mitigation program that offers no-cost residential services to housing unstable or unhoused individuals. Magnolia Movers employs the Workforce First Model: The moving crews are staffed by people experiencing homelessness who are paid $15/hr and offered case management.

Many low-income people experience difficulty moving between encampments, temporary shelter, or housing.  If people need help with moving, trash removal, apartment clean outs, or deep cleans, Magnolia Movers are here to offer dignified and affordable service.

how it works:

TOOF works closely with partner service providers to identify unhoused or housing unstable individuals who are experiencing barriers to residential services. Often, helping with a move or an apartment clean is the difference between someone moving off the streets into stable housing, or staying housed during a move from one home to another.

Moving services are available during standard business hours Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays. In order
to best serve our clients and program participants, we ask that all service requests be scheduled one to
two weeks in advance.
