Mobile Hygiene Clinic

What It Is

The Mobile Hygiene Clinic delivers humanitarian relief directly to Austin’s homeless population in the form of mobile showers and hygiene materials. The idea was conceived as a  response to the COVID-19 pandemic, but has flourished into a powerful outreach tool to potential clients for other TOOF programming. By meeting people where they’re at and offering basic needs, MHC provides a valuable entry point into TOOF’s array of programs for people who have not already engaged in homeless services.

The Mobile Hygiene Clinic applies TOOF’s proven Workforce First employment model: Each location is run by a team of people experiencing homelessness who are paid $20 an hour to oversee and execute operations.
