Members of the first cohort of automotive and HVAC trainees with The Other Ones Foundation (TOOF) are recognized during a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2025, at the TOOF training center in Austin, Texas. The foundation’s Vocational Training Program - developed in partnership with Austin Community College District, Workforce Solutions Capital Area, and philanthropist John Paul DeJoria - equips individuals exiting homelessness with hands-on training and direct pathways to employment in high-demand fields.

The Other Ones Foundation’s Vocational Skills Training Program equips individuals transitioning out of homelessness with tangible, in-demand job skills—opening doors to sustainable employment and housing.
In partnership with Austin Community College, Workforce Solutions Capital Area, and other key collaborators, TOOF offers training in essential trades such as HVAC, automotive repair, and other career pathways tailored to market demand.
